HFML-FELIX is an international research institute where strong magnets and free electron lasers are developed and used for top-level research. HFML-FELIX is governed by Radboud University and NWO's Institute Organisation and is part of Radboud University's
Faculty of Science (FNWI). The Institute currently employs some 80 scientific, technical and support staff. The mission of HFML-FELIX is to make high magnetic fields and intense infrared and THz radiation available for groundbreaking research by internal and external researchers, thereby contributing to the improvement of society, and providing training opportunities for the next generation of researchers and engineers. The laboratory's ambition is to further strengthen its position as an internationally leading institute in the field of research on molecules and materials.
