Job description

Can machines make art? Can we use game theory to better understand the process of cancer? Can we create intelligent software that’ll orchestrate and steer automated guided vehicles and robots in the factory of the future? These are just a few of the questions that the Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering (DKE) deals with on a daily basis. Can you help us share our stories?

You will transform news and information from within the department to clear and attractive content, ranging from articles and press releases to social media items. You can translate scientific publications to appealing news items for the general audience. By doing so, you will play an important role in increasing our visibility and in further building our community.

Being an effective networker with a sharp and inquisitive mind you quickly get a feel for what is going on in our organisation. You link your communication targets to the personal stories of the people within the department, while making creative use of the various communication instruments.

You will be responsible for the content of our DKE website and it is your responsibility to keep it up to date. You have an affinity with science communication and you are a skillful writer.

In collaboration with your colleague event coordinator and student recruiter you will write attractive texts for brochures and web content. Together, you will take care of general DKE activities such as organising community building initiatives and updating the current student body and staff about DKE’s achievements and initiatives. On behalf of DKE you will cooperate with the Marketing and Communications team of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Do you recognize yourself in the following profile? Then we would love to meet you!
