Job description

You maintain all lab equipment that samples can be analyzed according to protocol. You keep yourself up to date in the technical specifications of analytical systems present in the lab. You can assist students in making an experimental set-up perform their research activities within arbo and safety regulations. You have to conform to the quality and health and safety guidelines and have to communicate any equipment issues to the Head of Laboratory. Other tasks will be:

  • Maintenance of analytical equipment on instruction/after dialog with the super-user
  • Keeping up to date with the current (analytical) equipment
  • Management of certain lab and field equipment (become super-user)
  • Assisting in setting up experimental set-ups
  • Managing the tools and consumables to facilitate the super-users, staff and students in lab
  • Support in ITC wide lab related projects

Conditions of employment

We offer an inspiring and challenging international environment. You will be employed for a period of 2 years. Prolongation of the contract after this period is a possibility.

  • Gross monthly salary between € 2465.- and € 3292.- fulltime, depending on experience and qualifications (job profile Research Technician V-profile, level 2).
  • A holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and a year-end bonus of 8.3%
