Our tenure track positions are temporary positions subject to a tenure decision.
You will get an initial appointment for a period of seven years, on the condition of a positive mid-term evaluation before the end of the third year of employment. The seventh year is to compensate for any ‘life events’ (e.g. parental leave) which might take place during the first six years. Based on a positive final evaluation in the sixth year of your employment, you are granted a tenure and will be promoted to Associate Professor.
Your career path will continue and can lead to promotion to Full Professor, under the condition that you meet the requisite criteria. Formal Tenure track requirements primarily include criteria with respect to research prominence, teaching, and service.
We provide a fiscal facility pertaining to extraterritorial costs, the 30% facility, this may be applicable if the rules of Dutch tax law permit this, rendering part of your salary exempt from tax.
We are an equal opportunities employer. Because women are still under-represented in a number of fields, they are particularly encouraged to apply.
We would like you to start by August 2019.
