Job description

The Nijmegen School of Management offers two English-taught Bachelor’s programmes and seven English-taught Master’s programmes. As International Marketing, Recruitment and Admission (MRA) Officer, you will provide support in the recruitment and registration procedure for the Master’s programmes. You will also be a back-up for the admission officers to take admission decisions together with the Admission Board. In consultation with the Recruitment and Admission Officer for the Bachelor’s programmes, you will implement the recruitment plan and the application, admission and enrolment plan.

Your application, admission and enrolment tasks will include:

  • answering specific questions from potential students;
  • assessing application files, if the Admission Officer is absent;
  • administrating the application, admission and enrolment process;
  • communicating with admitted students to ensure a good enrolment rate;
  • supporting the design and optimisation of the application, admission and enrolment process;
  • liaising with the Programme Coordinator, Student Advisor and central units such as the Student Affairs Office and International Office.


Specific recruitment tasks will include:

  • implementing recruitment plans to attract international students in collaboration with the departments;
  • organising education fairs abroad;
  • using online marketing/communication tools (portals, social media, websites, webinars);
  • updating information and improving promotional material;
  • managing the team of five student assistants in cooperation with the Recruitment and Admission Officer and Admission Advisor for the Bachelor’s programmes.

Requirements

  • a completed (international) marketing qualification at university of applied sciences (hbo)/ research university (wo) level;
  • proven work experience in the field of international marketing and marketing communication in higher education;
  • excellent social and communication skills;
  • organisational skills and the ability to improvise;
  • near-native proficiency in English and Dutch;
  • excellent mastery of computer programs in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and professional experience with social media;
  • flexible, able to cope with stress, to work under high pressure and meet deadlines.

Conditions of employment

  • employment: 0.6 FTE
  • a maximum gross monthly salary of € 3,445 based on a 38-hour working week (salary scale 8)
  • the salary depends on qualifications and experience
  • in addition to the salary: an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus
  • duration of the contract: 6 months
  • you will be classified as a Communications Officer, Level 2, in the Dutch university job-ranking system (UFO)
  • you will be able to make use of our Dual Career Service where our Dual Career Officer will assist with family related support, such as child care, and help your partner prepare for the local labour market and with finding an occupation

 
When you come from a non-EU country, you must be in possession of an unlimited valid work and residence permit.

The Internationalisation, Communication and External Relations department (ICR) is part of the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) at Radboud University. The NSM comprises the sections Business Administration, Public Administration and Political Science, Economics and Business Economics, and Geography, Planning and Environment, and has 4500 students. The ICR is one of the faculty support units and prepares, advises on and implements policy for the faculty dean and staff. The ICR department has twelve staff members. As MRA Officer you will be a part of a team of three employees and five student assistants.
