• The Erasmus Centre for Leadership (ECL) is a centre of excellence for research at the Erasmus Research Institute of Management http://www.erim.eur.nl/leadership/. It is looking for a post-doctoral candidate for three years to aid with research in line with the centre’s activities. Research projects are aligned with the school’s mission to become a force for positive change. More specifically, we want a postdoc who can help the centre’s vision to become a leading institute for evidence-based leadership development.

• The successful postdoc candidate will work with Dr Hannes Leroy, academic director of the ECL, and the Executive Committee of the ECL: Prof. Daan Stam, Prof. Steffen Giessner, Prof. Marius van Dijke, Prof. Taco Reus, and Prof. Dirk van Dierendonck.

• The postdoc will be involved in ECL’s current research projects and will help set up longitudinal studies to test the effectiveness of leadership development at RSM more broadly, as well as testing specific leadership development interventions.

• The postdoc may be asked to do teaching or service roles, but for no more than 30 per cent of their available time.

• Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant discipline. Considering the nature of this postdoc position, we welcome PhDs from related disciplines, for example psychology or pedagogy. This postdoc position is a great opportunity for transition from a university setting to a business school setting.

  The ideal candidate is

• Well-equipped in research design techniques and skills (especially intervention research) and data management (set up and management of longitudinal datasets).

• The position involved teaching in English, so fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in Dutch is of added value but not a requirement.

This position comes with a three-year contract. The conditions of employment correspond with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 3.255 (scale 10 CAO NU) gross per month and up to a maximum of € 4.138 gross per month (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.
