The Cyber Security Group is now looking to appoint a tenured Professor who can lead the Group and will oversee the staff affiliated with the group in their teaching, research, and valorisation. In addition to furthering her/his own research, the Professor will strengthen collaboration on different levels within the TU Delft Cyber Security ecosystem, as well as with national and international partners in academia, industry and government.
Candidates for the position must show evidence of excellence in research, education, valorisation, and leadership, as defined by the following criteria:

Cyber Security at TU Delft has a holistic profile and a unique socio-technical approach towards the protection of cyberspace. Research focuses on the prevention of incidents, as well as the detection and recovery of incidents. As all cyber security incidents have a technical and social aspect, solutions should, therefore, have a technical core and require a detailed understanding of the social context to be effective. Therefore, research and education in cyber security builds upon the faculty members at Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) as well as Technology, Policy and Management (TPM).
The Cyber Security Research Group, consisting of four core faculty, has a strong research portfolio in artificial intelligence and applied cryptography for cyber security. The Group’s ambition is to significantly contribute to research foundations, technology transfer, practices and education in cyber security, and to collaborate with leading peers worldwide. The Group contributes to education in cyber security at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Executive level.
