Job description
We seek new colleagues who contribute to building and extending the department’s reputation for excellence in research and teaching. Research aims at having impact, evidenced by publications in top international academic journals. Teaching duties are focused on econometrics, statistics, or data science courses in one of our programs (BSc/MSc/PhD), as well as individual student supervision. Depending on the candidate, the position can be tenure track or non-tenure track.

Your duties

  • carrying out innovative research and publish this research at the highest level in the international top journals in your field
  • creating a stimulating and motivating learning environment for students in econometrics and data science, economics, or business at all levels (BSc, MSc, PhD) by teaching courses and supervising students in these areas
  • being active in acquiring additional research funds, both individually and as a team effort with your colleagues

  • a PhD degree, specializing in econometrics, statistics, machine learning, data science, or a related field
  • strong research potential, teaching experience with good evaluations
  • fluency in English

Conditions of employment

A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €3,637 (scale 11)
and a maximum €4,978 (scale 11), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.

The initial employment contract will affect a period of 6 years, with the possibility of extension.
