The cerebellum is an intricately folded brain region positioned behind the brainstem. Although traditionally somewhat overlooked in neuroimaging, its role in many important brain functions has recently led to increased interest. The thin cortex and high degree of folding mean that only very high resolution, high quality imaging suffices for cerebellar cortical segmentation or laminae visualisation. The postdoc researcher will implement advanced MR sequences to better image this fascinating brain region.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Physics, biomedical imaging or related field. We are looking for a committed researcher with a solid background in MRI physics. Experience with multi-channel transmit systems and sequence development are highly desirable. The position is ideal for those seeking opportunities to contribute to neuroscience in human subjects. 

Commensurate with experience and institutional guidelines based on the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities; CAO NU) in scale 10. Full time monthly salary is 2.709,- to 4.274,- euro before taxes. A 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus are excluded. We offer an extensive package of fringe benefits.
