The Department of Media and Communication has a vacancy for Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator (1.0 fte). We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate, who is challenged by working in an international environment, with colleagues and prospective students from all over the world.
The International Bachelor Communication and Media and the Master Media Studies are small-scaled, selective programmes, offering a limited number of places for prospective students per academic year. The yearly number of applications we receive, however, exceeds the number of places available in the different programmes, so an extensive selection procedure takes place. The Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator will work in the front office as well as in the back office, mainly focusing on the admissions process for all programmes offered by the Media and Communication department. The Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator will be supported by a Student Assistant.

Employment starts on August 26, 2019. The position concerns a temporary contract which will be running for one year until August 26, 2020. After this period, an extension is possible. Your remuneration will depend on the position, your specific knowledge and experience It will be calculated on the basis of full-time salary ranging between € 2.835,- and € 3.895,- gross per month (salary scale 9, CAO NU). Erasmus University Rotterdam offers attractive terms of employment, including a holiday allowance of 8%, a year-end payment of 8.3% and 41 annual leave days in case of a full work week. In addition, EUR takes part in the ABP pension scheme, and we also offer partially paid parental leave. For international spouses we have set up a Dual Career Programme. The Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication
The Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) offers education and research in the fields of Media and Communication, History, and Arts and Culture Studies. The faculty has approximately 1700 students and 130 employees.
Media and Communication Department
The Media and Communication Department is a dynamic, internationally oriented department within the ESHCC. The department offers five international degree programmes: the International Bachelor’s programme in Communication and Media (IBCoM), three international Master’s programmes in Media Studies (Media & Business, Media & Creative Industries, Media, Culture & Society) and the Research master in the Sociology of Culture, Media and the Arts. The department has close ties with the Erasmus Research Centre for Media, Communication and Culture (ERMeCC), the primary research institute at EUR in the field of Media, Communication and Culture.
