Job description

The research project is headed by Professor Michael Koetter, PhD, and Professor Dr Felix Noth. The contract will be limited to three years; an extension by one year is possible. The place of employment is Halle (Saale), whereas research stays at the cooperating institutions are possible. Your remuneration entitlement corresponds to pay group 13 of the German public sector salary scheme TV-L.

Requirements

Your profile/Your motivation

  • You are curious, creative, and highly motivated to research the financial economics’ aspects of the transition of economic systems in the face of the climate crisis.
  • On top, you hold a high-quality master degree in economics, finance, or otherwise adjacent fields and have very good knowledge of applied microeconometrics, experience in the analysis of microdata as well as in dealing with corresponding statistical software.
  • Your working methods are self-responsible and structured.
  • Organisational talent as well as team orientation and proficiency in English round off your profile.
  • You are open to get in touch with the national and international scientific community and to cooperatewith other IWH researchers.
  • Participation in the IWH Doctoral Programme in Economics (IWH-DPE) and the Central-German Doctoral Program Economics (CGDE), which IWH organises jointly with neighboring universities, is obligatory.

You will contribute to the project “Debt Overhang in Green Investments”, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Moreover, you will become part of a dynamic team of economists regularly publishing its work in renowned international journals.
