In this position you will be working on improving the efficiency and efficacy of proton therapy for all indications treated at our clinic, with specific focus on margin reduction, improved treatment accuracy and the development of tailored adaptive strategies for thoracic localizations. The position is embedded in the compact proton physics team that consists of medical physicists, medical (software) engineers and innovation physicists and it’s part of the larger Maastro proton team of radiation oncologists, radiation therapists and IT-specialists.
We are looking for a committed and ambitious candidate who can work well in a team, but is also able to work independently on the individual projects for which he/she will be responsible. You have:
Fixed-term contract: A one-year duration, with the possibility of extension for up to three years upon a successful evaluation.
The internationally acclaimed state-of-the-art radiotherapy institute Maastro in Maastricht delivers cancer care in the Limburg region of the Netherlands, aiming to cure patients while preventing side effects of the provided treatments.
