Are you passionate about teaching economics, business economics and/or finance to undergraduate students? Do you have a master's degree in one of these fields or a related field? Do you want to be part of a diverse team of junior lecturers at Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.)? Then apply to Utrecht University School of Economics.

Wat ga je doen?
As a member of the Undergraduate School teaching team, you will teach in our undergraduate Economics & Business Economics program. You will spend 90% of your time on teaching duties and 10% on teaching-related research and educational development. As a junior lecturer you will:
  • Teach tutorial groups and become a tutor of a group of first-year students
  • Contribute to a wide range of courses in economics, business economics and/or finance, depending on your interests and background
  • Participate in other activities related to the undergraduate program such as providing information

Functie-eisen

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated junior lecturer who:
  • Has a master's degree in economics, business economics, finance, or a related discipline
  • Has excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Fluently speaks and writes in English
  • Has affinity for the full spectrum of courses taught in the undergraduate program at U.S.E.
  • Has potential to become an excellent teacher in the field of economics, business economics and/or finance.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

  • a temporary position for 4 years (0,8 - 1,0 fte).
  • a full-time gross salary between €3.378,- and maximum € 5.331,- (scale 10) of the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities (CAO);
  • 8% holiday bonus and 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
  • a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave, and flexible employment conditions based on the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities.
