Job description

We welcome applications of postdoctoral researchers with innovative research plans who are ready to start their own lab (junior PI).

Requirements

Function of the candidate group leader

You will lead a research group at the Hubrecht Institute. You will run your group with scientific independence. Your research group will contribute to and/or complement the overall goal of the Hubrecht Institute to strengthen its unique position nationally and internationally as a center of excellence in developmental biology and stem cell research.

Given the international environment and position of the Hubrecht Institute, we encourage international candidates to apply. As it is our ambition to be a diverse and inclusive institute, we encourage female scientists and scientists from underrepresented backgrounds to apply. In addition to developmental biologists and stem cell researchers, we welcome scientists with a complementary scientific background (e.g. mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science) to apply.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 7 years.

We offer
  • A tenure track position for junior group leaders;
  • Competitive salary and fringe benefits, e.g. flexible working arrangements, relocation package;
  • Career development;
  • A modern scientific environment with excellent facilities and support.
