Tasks & Responsibilities 
The function entails the following responsibilities:

• Identifying entrepreneurial intent at JADS: Gathering the needs and interests of the (potential) entrepreneurs at JADS Den Bosch (incl. gathering the Entrepreneurial Intent of all students);
• Coaching and supporting Entrepreneurs at the Playground: Keeping abreast of the development of each company in the Playground and provide acces to coaching and (external) experts in an appropriate and tailor made manner;
• Networking & knowledge sharing: Maintaining and developing the relationship with partners;
• Organizing events: Organizing relevant events, meetups and trainings for the entrepreneurs;
• Maintaining knowledge-flow between internal and external stakeholders of the Playground.

The candidate’s profile

• is a true multitasker;
• is solution-oriented, pro-active, flexible and a real team player;
• makes fast connections and introductions;
• finds joy and motivation in working for an organization that is on the forefront of data science and entrepreneurship;
• has a completed a Master degree in Business or Data Science;
• has 3-5 years of working experience in an entrepreneurial and startup environment on a tactical level;
• has profound knowledge of the lean start-up, knows how to work agile and can use design thinking methods in creating solutions or new value;
• is hands-on, able to connect to students and provide coaching to students who launch start-ups;
• has good written and verbal skills in both English (the primary language of external communication) and Dutch;
• has proven cooperation skills to achieve mutual goals; 
• prefers a start-up ‘work mentality’, but is able to work with government-related organizations.

Fixed-term contract: temporary appointment for 1 year, with possibility of obtaining a permanent position.

We offer:

• A full-time temporary appointment for 1 year, with the possibility of obtaining a permanent position. 41 days holiday leave. 
• A monthly gross salary ranging from € 2.835,- € 4.978,- (scale 10/11 CAO Dutch Universities) according to your level of experience;
• Possibilities for personal development and career planning including courses, summer Schools, conference visits etc.;
• A broad package of fringe benefits, e.g. partly paid parental leave after 1 year of employment, holiday allowance (8%, May), and a fixed end of year allowance (8.3%, December). The possibility of selling or buying holiday leave hours etc.

The Jheronimus Academy of Data Science, or ‘JADS’ is a high-level hotspot where researchers, data science students, start-ups, scale-ups and experts of industry collaborate in developing cutting-edge research to real-world solutions. JADS is all about creating added value and impact with its combination of data science and entrepreneurship. JADS constitutes a unique concept in which an integrated approach to Data Science is created by combining the exact sciences of the Eindhoven University of Technology, with the social sciences of Tilburg University. JADS boasts three campuses at Tilburg, Eindhoven and Den Bosch.

The JADS Campus at the Mariënburg convent in Den Bosch revolves around research, education and valorization on data entrepreneurship.We offer:

JADS Entrepreneurship team: The JADS Playground

The entrepreneurial activities facilitated by JADS are executed under the name of the JADS Playground. The Playground's main purpose is to help aspiring (data science) entrepreneurs to start their businesses. In doing so, The JADS Playground builds upon the in-house expertise of entrepreneurship and data science and the growing basis of entrepreneurial-minded data science talents studying at the Mariënburg Campus in Den Bosch. The JADS Playground aims to offer a platform to experiment, learn and develop.

The Playground is currently in the process of building a sustainable team to support the (student)-entrepreneurs within JADS with tailormade tooling, coaching, events and more. In particular, this vacancy intends to recruit the coordinator entrepreneurship leading the JADS playground.
