Are you a talented computer scientist with a proven background in the broad area of security or theory in computer science? Then Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam would like to get to know you.

Job description

We are looking for a candidate who is active in one or more of these fields and ideally at their crossroads. Relevant research topics, related to security, could stretch for example from type theory and theorem proving, to language design, to exploitation of speculative computing at the hardware level.

In addition to foundational research, candidates are ideally active in bridging the gap between theory and practice. They should have a clear potential to acquire external funding and run research projects.

The VUsec (www.vusec.net/) and TCS (www.cs.vu.nl/~tcs) groups at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam offer an attractive research environment in this area. Moreover, there is a good basis to work together with other groups in the Department of Computer Science.
