We offer a 3-year full-time (1.0 FTE) post-doctoral researcher position on materials-driven regeneration of cartilage tissue.

Job description

A full-time post-doctoral researcher position is available for a period of 3 years, supported by the Materials-Driven Regeneration (MDR) consortium.

Your project will focus on developing materials that can guide and steer the formation of anisotropic cartilage tissue, particularly its collagen network, which is essential for its durably functioning in the articular joint. Your primary focus will be on the design, synthesis and functionalization of biologically compatible materials for cartilage regeneration that can be processed with cutting-edge 3D (bio)printing technologies.

You will join the Biofabrication for Translational Regenerative Medicine group at the Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht. You will coordinate your work within an (inter)national network of collaborators while working in an ambitious, motivated, multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, veterinarians, physicists, chemists, biologists, and engineers. You will co-supervise PhD and master students; teaching opportunities will be available if desired.
