    Functie-eisen

    In the function of Network and internship Coordinator at the Department of Industrial Design, you will be part of the ESA team (Education and Student Affairs Team) Industrial Design. The ESA team ID is partly responsible for organization, implementation and the quality of the education at the Department of Industrial Design. 

    Education is given in the context of the Bachelor college (Major/bachelor program) and Graduate School (master program). You will be working together with e.g. the Coordinator Major program and Graduate School, Manager ESA, Program Director, International office at the department, Academic Advisors and Communication staff members.

    You will communicate with students and student-representatives from Lucid (study association), to gather insights about the education at the department and share knowledge and experiences; in order to make plans for future improvement. 

    Tasks and responsibilities

    As Network and Internship Coordinator you will be the first contact person for students and teachers regarding the internship program of Industrial Design, as well as questions/ possibilities when working and connecting with companies and other stakeholders in relation with the program of Industrial Design. 

    You will be responsible for coordinating the internships for both the Bachelor and Master program at the Department of Industrial Design: 
  • You are responsible for maintaining contacts, and creating an overview of the network in relation to Industrial Design
  • You will organize and coordinate networking activities in relation to our educational program
  • You will actively keep contact with both study association Lucid and Alumni association IDEa to align the different networks and activities
  • You will be coordinating the procedure for companies and setting up projects within the educational program
  • You will actively do acquisition for new internship companies and check whether the company is suitable as internship company
  • You coordinate and organize operational processes regarding the internships in the Bachelor and Master Program of Industrial Design;
  • You are responsible for communicating, informing and advising students and teachers about internship registration (and procedures) approval processes and reviewing of the internship assignments. This means both actively informing different stakeholders, but also keeping the (online) information up to date;
  • You will align the Internship procedure & Assessment, together with the coordinator Major Program and team ESA;

  • We are looking for a team player with good organizational skills and strong affinity with networking and organization. Preferably with a background in Industrial Design WO education or a strong affinity with, and network within the field of Industrial Design education. You have at least experience in HBO working and thinking. As well as that, you can combine front office and back office tasks. You have an organizational talent and are able to work independent and accurate. You should be able to handle people well by acting customer focused and friendly, flexible and solution-oriented. You have a proactive and service-oriented approach within your work and you should be able to present in front of a group.

    We expect you to have good skills in both Dutch and English language in word and writing. 

    In addition, the following conditions apply:
  • You operate within policy frameworks set by the educational board / education management team and act from a helicopter view.
  • You identify bottlenecks and link them back to the education management team when possible with a possible solution.
  • You support director of education / education management team in case of occurring activities. 

  • Arbeidsvoorwaarden

    We offer a temporary appointment (via Euflex; internal employment agency) for a period of one year with the prospect of a permanent contract of employment. The salary will depend on your education, knowledge and experience, and will be a minimum of € 2.709.- and a maximum of € 3.722.- gross per month on a fulltime basis (scale 9 CAO [collective labor agreement] for the Dutch Universities). We encourage personal development within the function profile.
