Are you that enthousiastic Skills Teacher who wants to contribute to the academic and professional skills development of students in the life sciences domain? Do you have an MSc- and/or PhD degree in either life sciences, educational sciences, and/or skills training field? ? Are you able to teach both large and small groups of students from different disciplinary and cultural backgrounds?

Then we are looking for you as our new colleague!

Our chair group Education and Learning Sciences is looking for a skills teacher (Vaardigheidsdocent 2) who will be responsible, in close cooperation with colleague teachers, for teaching:
  • the MSc level modular skills courses Consultancy Skills, Management Skills and Communication and Personal Development (the latter being part of the MSc course Academic Consultancy Training);
  • the BSc courses Presentation, Argumentation and Collaboration Skills.
You will also be contributing to the regular and project-based innovation of various skills courses by participating in evaluation- and innovation project teams.

Requirements

  • you have an MSc- and/or PhD degree in either the life sciences, educational sciences, and/or skills training field;
  • you have a UTQ (BKO) qualification or willingness to acquire a UTQ;
  • you have experience in teaching university students at BSc and MSc level, preferably in the requested courses;
  • your broad interest is in the life sciences domain, and you have the ability to include respective examples in skills courses;
  • you have actual experience in the professional application of required skills;
  • you are flexible, constructive and well-organised;
  • you have a cooperative attitude as well as coordinating capabilities.

Conditions of employment

We offer you an interesting job for a period of 1 year (with the option of extension and possibly a fixed contract pending on the financial situation of the group) at a both nationally and internationally well-know group within Wageningen University and Research. The organization has good profesionalization facilities. This will be a position for max 0,8 fte (approx. 30 hours).
We will reward you with a market-based salary for a 30,4 hours full time working week. You also have the opportunity to work 32 hours a week with additional holidays. The salary will depend on the qualifications and experience with a gross minimum of salary scale 10 € 2.709 and a maximum of € 4.978 based on 38 hours, in according to the Collective Labour Agreement of Wageningen University.
