- Background in Quantum mechanics and solid-state physics (bandgap, electrons, phonons, etc.).

- Strong experimental skills.

- Good English proficiency.

- Excellent communication skills and genuine interest in team work.

Following experiences are not mandatory but will be considered as an advantage:

- Familiarity with superconductors (theoretical/experimental) particularly experience with SNSPDs.

- Experience with cryogenics.

- Familiarity with quantum optics/nano-photonics/integrated photonics.

- Nanofabrication experience; particularly litography experience with photonic devices and superconducting detectors.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 2 jaar.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. The TU Delft offers a customisable compensation package, a discount on health insurance and sport memberships, and a monthly work costs contribution. Flexible work schedules can be arranged.
