Urban Behaviour eXtended Reality Lab – is part of the Department of Built Environment at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). At UBeX, we design and develop 3D digital environments that simulate real-world urban streetscapes. About the jobUBeX is a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of researchers, designers, and developers. As a VR game developer, you will play a key role in translating conceptual ideas into interactive, immersive applications, working across the full development pipeline – from idea to execution.
This is a temporary position with the duration of 10 months.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement VR user interfaces and novel interaction mechanics in Unreal Engine.
- Ensure seamless VR experiences across various headset platforms.
- Maintain and iterate on existing VR applications and tools.
- Document technical designs, interfaces, and key algorithms.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, and fellow developers. Proactively listen to the researchers’ needs, translate them into hands-on design ideas.
- Estimate development time and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Balance multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing needs.
