Job description

Are you an administrative jack-of-all-trades with an affinity for radiation and safety? Do you enjoy organizing things and can you work accurately and independently? Then this is your chance to take on an extra role alongside your current position!

As an administrative assistant, you are responsible for keeping the KEW file in order, filling in and maintaining the document management system for this purpose. You are also responsible for keeping the Radiation Protection Unit's agenda up to date.

Your duties and responsibilities include:
Keeping the KEW file in order
  • Managing documents with an expiry date.
  • Initiating action before this date to update or withdraw the document.
  • Providing a clear overview of the status of documents, so that the workload for the SBE can be spread out.
  • Registering radiological workers as indicated by the supervising radiation protection officers;

Filling and maintaining a document management system
  • Documents in a document management system as indicated by the SBE;
  • Working with templates;
  • Applying and checking workflows for dynamic documents;
  • Being able to generate overviews from the document management system.

Maintaining the unit's agenda
  • Scheduling regular meetings in the SBE's functional agenda;
  • Scheduling meetings with special groups, both internal and external.
  • Scheduling actions with a (fixed) deadline, creating an annual schedule;
  • Scheduling audits from the annual audit plan with auditors and auditees.

Your team
The Radiation Protection Unit is part of the Safety & Environment (S&E) team. A diverse, enthusiastic group of professionals working on the themes of safe & healthy working, the environment, animal testing, and last but not least, sustainability. You will mainly be working with the Health & Safety Expert and the Radiation Protection Expert.

You will work here
The Safety & Environment (S&E) team you are part of focuses on topics such as Safety, Health, Emergency Response and Fire Safety, Disaster Management, Radiation Safety and Biological Safety, Animal Testing, Energy, Environment, and CSR. The Safety and Environment team is responsible for:
  • Policy support for the knowledge units on the above themes;
  • Auditing and monitoring;
  • Risk management in the workplace;
  • Support for renovation and new construction, including new activities;
  • A proactive attitude towards sustainability/corporate social responsibility.

Requirements

You have a proactive work attitude, organizing is in your blood, you are decisive, critical, and proactive.

You also possess:
  • At least a secondary vocational education (MBO) level of working and thinking;
  • Work experience in an administrative/secretarial position with similar tasks;
  • A good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
  • An affinity with the subject of radiation.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 12 months.

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €2.749,- and €3.399,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 5). This role is for 6 hours a week. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended on good performance.
