The position
As a Strategic Grant Developer, you support researchers in preparing the content of externally funded grant applications. You focus on consortium applications for which Tilburg Law School acts as coordinator or participant within funding frameworks such as those of NWO and Horizon Europe. You also contribute at a strategic level by advising on the substantive domains in which Tilburg Law School can position itself to create funding opportunities. You work in close collaboration with both the support services and with the Vice Dean for Research, Heads of Department, and Research Program Leaders.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
As a Strategic Grant Developer, you are able to bring together and facilitate collaboration between internal, national, and international partners with diverse backgrounds within the four research programs of Tilburg Law School (see here). Affinity with one or more of these research programs is therefore desirable. With the role of Strategic Grant Developer, Tilburg Law School aims to further develop overarching themes such as artificial intelligence, vulnerability of citizens, and a resilient rule of law.

About the Academic Services Division
The Academic Services Division of Tilburg University is responsible for the development and implementation of the university’s research, education, and impact policies. Organisational and administrative support for degree programmes, graduate schools, and research programs is provided through this division. In addition, Academic Services offers guidance to students, lecturers, researchers, and PhD candidates, and supports the acquisition of research funding as well as the valorisation of research results. The division is organised into three units: Education, Research, and Impact (Knowledge Transfer Office).

Our research
The five departments of Tilburg Law School work closely together in research across four distinctive research programs focusing on globalisation and law, the regulation of technology, the vulnerability of individuals in criminal law, and sustainable private law relationships. Within these programs, both legal and public administration research as well as interdisciplinary research is conducted.
We strongly promote team science by encouraging researchers to collaborate, share knowledge, and strengthen one another in terms of content and methodology.
