Thirdly, the team Online learning environment offers functional management and pedagogical advice on the digital learning environment (Brightspace) and new IT applications in education. The team Educational media is responsible for supporting media applications in education (knowledge clips, weblectures, weconnect). The fifth team is responsible for all the Digital Assessments in education. Finally, the sixth team - Society Based Education - stimulates and organises real life cases in education offered by societal partners (from business, governmental-, to civil society organisations).
The position of instructional designer/educational advisor fits within in the team Online learning environment.
The rapid digitalisation in higher education has an enormous impact. Open and online education reaches out to new target groups of learners and the pedagogical focus shifts towards student centred education, especially due to the use of online and multimedia tools. Learner data analytics enable a further development of differentiation and flexibilization in education. The design and implementation of pedagogically high quality blended education requires increasingly expertise and creativity in relation to organising interaction, assignments and feedback, including the use of online tools. Lecturers need to be facilitated and supported in implementing these tools.
In 2019 and 2020 we implemented Brightspace as our learning management system. We now are continuously improving the use of the system and connected tools and are experimenting with different new tools and collaborate in the realization of educational innovation. We are looking for an instructional designer/educational advisor to strengthen our team.
