The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) section at Delft University of Technology offers a lecturer position in the field of rapid prototyping, software programming and development. The position will consist of teaching (minimum 60%, maximum 80%) and research. The ICT section a is part of the Department of Engineering Systems and Services (ESS) at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM) and is involved in one teaching program at the Bachelor level and two programs at the Master level.
First, you will be involved in teaching, and supporting colleagues teaching, in the Bachelor program 'Technische Bestuurskunde'. Within the three-year programme of Technische Bestuurskunde, you will contribute to the courses in which students specialize in Information and Communication (~90-110 students). Information and Communication is one of the three tracks our Bachelor students can choose. In the Information and Communication courses, students learn technical knowledge to be applied into societal problem areas. The program is mainly taught in Dutch but also includes courses taught in English.
Second, you will teach, and support colleagues teaching, in two Master programs: Management of Technology (MoT) and Complex Systems Engineering and Management (CoSEM). MoT educates students towards becoming technology managers, analysts of technological markets (either as scientists or consultants), and entrepreneurs in highly technology-based, internationally-oriented and competitive environments in various industrial sectors. CoSEM explores and designs innovations in complex socio-technical environments. It considers aspects such as regulations, infrastructures, interests, cultures, human behaviour in socio-technical design, all from an international perspective.
In addition to the vast growth in the number of students, the quality of these programs is acknowledged in terms of favourable student evaluations and positive reviews by independent Educational Assessment Committees.

The classification of the lecturer UFO profile is determined on the basis of the knowledge and work experience of the candidate and the package of tasks that is agreed upon accordingly. It may be the classification of a lecturer 4, lecturer 3 or lecturer 2 profile. The salary will be in accordance with the salary scales as described in the collective labor agreement of Dutch universities.
