Job description

We are looking for a Postdoc candidate for the project COALA- COgnitive Assisted agile manufacturing for a LAbor force supported by trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. The project involves 14 partners from 5 European countries and has kicked off on October 1st, 2020.

Within this project, our team aims to develop a cognitive advisor with dedicated human-assisted AI methods for enabling transfer of tacit knowledge of experts to novice workers. The cognitive advisor need to be able to operate with small data sets of machine configurations, product quality, production lines performance, human errors, and changeover time collected from production lines and production processes while operated by experts. It needs to implement a recommendation and configuration management system that guides novice workers by composing dialog content for production line operations based on the explored basic rules. It will provide feedback to the novice workers as a synthesis of instructional and corrective messages considering the context of on the job training as well as the pace of learning. It is therefore important to involve experts in validating recommendations and to algorithms that can deal with this.
