We are looking for a junior researcher for the project 'First aid for grief in Ukrainian refugees'.
The aim of the project is to offer online first aid for grief among Ukrainian refugees. This first aid consists of an online screening tool for Ukrainian refugees to self-monitor their grief levels. Psychoeducation about grief in the context of war and displacement will be offered and existing materials for online grief therapy will be translated. This project will yield accessible online bereavement care for Ukrainian people who experienced a loss of a loved one.
Initially this project has a duration of 8 months. Possibilities for extension of this project will be explored. The project entails a collaboration between the Psychology, Health & Technology department of University of Twente and Clinical Psychology department of Utrecht University. The research team consists of dr. Lonneke Lenferink and prof. dr. Paul Boelen, and translators who are proficient in Ukrainian/Russian language. The function is stationed at University of Twente (hybrid working is possible).
As a Junior Reseacher in this project, your tasks will consist of:
- searching/reviewing written materials for psychoeducation about grief/trauma;
- conducting data-collection among participants;
- maintaining contact with therapists, participants, translators;
- analyzing data;
- contributing to scientific papers for peer-reviewed journals;
- coordinating project team meetings with partners/collaborators to ensure project alignment.
