Postdoc translational research and liquid biopsies: department of laboratory medicine the Netherlands Cancer Institute

Job description

Our research group is part of the clinical department of laboratory medicine of the Netherlands Cancer Institute. Our aim is to develop, evaluate and implement (fluid-based) biomarkers to improve our care for patients with cancer. Recent years our group has been working on liquid biopsies to develop and implement circulating tumor DNA analysis for different applications such as molecular profiling, monitoring, minimal residual disease and cancer detection. In addition, the group has an interest in the integration of different diagnostic modalities and biomarkers. We have initiated a lung cancer biomarker research project building on the 4ITLR population screening study, creating a platform for biomarker evaluation and integration. Our group is actively collaborating with researchers within the NKI, the department of pathology, diagnostic companies and research groups in and outside the Netherlands.
