Job description

Tilburg University wants to take its research infrastructure to a higher level in the coming years and is doing so on the basis of a program with five lines: Data, Research IT, Labs, Multi- and interdisciplinary collaboration and Research Support. In the first phase of the program we will work on solving bottlenecks, we will conduct a landscape analysis and draw up requirements to improve the research environment. The second phase will be followed by a mid-term evaluation and implementation. We will be happy to send you the program design on request. 

 

As a Program Manager Research Infrastructure you will work together with project leaders, product owners, and interdisciplinary teams of scientists and support staff. 

As a Program Manager you are responsible for:

  • The implementation of the total Research Infrastructure program within the five defined lines (Data, Research IT,  Lab, Multi- and interdisciplinary collaboration , Research support);
  • Managing the program organization;
  • Reporting to the program board and preparing the midterm review.

Your qualifications

  • You have an academic degree or equivalent experience;
  • You have knowledge of data-driven methods in scientific research and are familiar with the technology that makes this possible;
  • You have experience with different methodologies such as Prince2 and Agile/Scrum;
  • You have experience with change processes and the management of complex programs;
  • Experience within a higher education or research institution is an advantage;
  • You have political-administrative sensitivity;
  • Tilburg University is an international university, firmly anchored in the region and therefore bilingual. We will offer you the chance to follow a Dutch course.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year with possible contract for indefinite period.

It concerns a position for 0.8 – 1.0 FTE (32-40 hours per week) of the full working time. 

The salary amounts to a minimum of €4.814,- and a maximum of €6.181,- gross per month for full-time employment, based on UFO profile Project Manager 3 with salary scale 12 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system for grading that is based on relevant education and work experience. 

 

This is a vacancy for a structural position in accordance with Article 2.3 paragraph 1 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. You will receive a temporary employment contract for the duration of 12 months. If you prove suitability and continuation in the same position, you will subsequently receive an employment contract for an indefinite period after this period. 

 

You are entitled to a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year allowance of 8.3% of the gross annual income. If you work 40 hours a week, you will receive 41 vacation days per year.
