The HRM department consists of approximately 100 enthusiastic colleagues. In addition to the HR advice team of 30 colleagues, HRM also comprises the Policy, HR services & E-HRM, Learning & Development and Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Radiation (OHSE&R) departments. As a flexible deployable HR Advisor, you will work within a faculty or services department where there is a need for temporary replacement or additional support. You also contribute to the further professionalization and development of HR policy and advice. In addition, you will actively participate in university wide HRM projects. In your role, you will work together with fellow HR advisors and HR service employees.

Your core tasks
As an HR Advisor you will:
  • Advise and support managers and staff on an operational/tactical level with regards to (individual) employee and HR related topics;
  • Advise the departmental board on HR policy and organizational topics (e.g. strategic workforce planning, absenteeism, recruitment, development);
  • Contribute to the development of the HRM university policy and ensure adequate implementation within the organizational unit you work in;
  • In your role you will work on building strong connections with your stakeholders and regularly you will take on an advisory and/or coaching role.

Requirements

As a candidate
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field;
  • You have multiple years of HR work experience at advising level within a complex (and preferably similar) organization;
  • You have an excellent oral and written command of the Dutch and English languages;
  • You are able to maintain overview, and your workstyle is people-, process- and project-oriented. You have a high degree of independence and flexibility as an HR professional. In doing so, you show persuasiveness and connect with people. You are result-oriented and make a professional contribution to the development of HRM and the HR advisory role within it;
  • You are a self-starter and are a go-getter.

Conditions of employment

  • An environment where you are encouraged to develop yourself in the field of HR;
  • Depending on knowledge and experience, the salary will amount to a minimum of € 2.960,- and a maximum of € 4.670,- (salary scale 10) gross per month under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.;
  • We offer a one-year contract, with prospect of a permanent position;
