Job description

You may know Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) from our bachelor and master programs. You will have varied tasks, with a focus on EUR's employer brand, combined with various projects for the faculties and central services. You may work on an EUR-wide campaign to recruit IT staff on Monday and spend Tuesday on creating promotion material for a large job fair in the US. The position is new within EUR, and you will have many opportunities to explore your own ideas.

As a result of your work, we would like to see EUR's reputation as a great employer improve further and ensure we have sufficient applicants for all our vacancies.

Job description
You will work on the following tasks as Employer Branding Officer:
  • Detailing the customer journey for potential employees and determining, together with your colleagues, how to optimize it.
  • Developing, managing, and evaluating various campaigns to strengthen EUR's employer brand. You will cooperate closely with Marketing & Communications and Recruitment.
  • Working on various projects from the faculties and central services, such as the creation of promotion material for job fairs, vacancy campaigns and organizing events.
  • Actively contributing to the development of the content for EUR's employer brand, such as texts and images for our website and social media channels.
  • Supporting the Recruitment team with optimizing their vacancy texts. With your keen eye for detail and creative approach, you help them write catchy texts.

Requirements

It is important to us that you have a proactive attitude and already have some experience with campaigns and employer branding. Additionally, we are looking for the following:
  • You want to contribute to EUR's reputation.
  • You have University of Applied Sciences/University work- and thinking proficiency with a relevant educational background.
  • You have experience building campaigns and creating content for specific audiences, and knowledge of the field.
  • You are fluent in Dutch (writing and speaking, CEFR C2) and speak English well (writing and speaking, CEFR B2). You enjoy creatively working on texts.
  • You take initiative, are result-oriented and know how to communicate your vision with others and are sensitive to the (informal) dynamics within a university. Your approach to work is data driven.
The salary range for this position has been adjusted and is different from what is shown at the top of this page. The range is €2.960 to €3.557 gross per month based on full time employment.

Conditions of employment

An internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

The start date of this position is ideally May 1st 2023, but a later start date is possible as well. You will be based at the Campus Woudestein - Rotterdam. The position is for 0,8 fte - 1 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 2.960 to a maximum of € 3.557 gross per month on a fulltime basis, in accordance with Scale 10 of the CAO-NU. The contract is for 1 year initially, after which it can be changed to a permanent contract if organizational conditions allow and if your performance is good. In addition, we offer an 8% holiday allowance, an end-of-year payment of 8.3%, and a very generous paid leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision, and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal career budget, work-life balance coaches, discounted collective health insurance, and more. As an employee, you can also use EUR facilities such as the University library and receive a discount on subscriptions for the Erasmus sports center.
