Job description

The Accounting section of the Amsterdam Business School is looking for a assistant professor in Accounting (tenure track). The assistant professor in Accounting is expected to contribute to the school’s research and teaching. The teaching load is moderate, and all teaching is in English. Candidates are expected to publish their research in international top journals. The tenure decision will be made in accordance with the Amsterdam Business School tenure track criteria, which include criteria for research output.

Requirements

Candidates should have a PhD, or expect to complete a PhD in the near future, and should demonstrate the potential for outstanding achievements in research and teaching. Candidates with research interests in all areas of accounting will be considered. However, we are specifically looking for candidates who are able and willing to teach management accounting, auditing, or accounting information systems.

Conditions of employment

The successful candidate will be offered a six-year tenure track position as assistant professor in Accounting. Upon meeting the tenure track criteria, a permanent contract as associate professor will be offered. Starting date will be 1 September 2017, or such other date as may be mutually agreed. The Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities is applicable.
