This 2-year postdoc position is for a project on the nature and structure of belief systems. The candidate will work with Mark Brandt on the ERC funded Belief Systems Project that aims to understand belief systems as networks of attitudes and beliefs. This is a full time research position where the candidate will help and take the lead analyzing survey data, conducting text analyses, writing papers, and publicizing results. There is room for the project to grow based on the interests and experience of the candidate. In addition, we expect that the candidate will contribute to academic citizenship (e.g., regular office hours, participate in weekly lab meetings, colloquia) in the department.
We are looking for a team player who is highly motivated and wants to understand how belief systems work. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., social psychology, political psychology, political science, sociology, etc.) and some combination of strong analytic skills, experience with network analyses, experience with text analyses, experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, MPlus), and experience writing manuscripts.

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.
