Job description

As Project Leader in Integrated Hazard & Threat Risk Management (IH&TRM), you are a hands-on, operational/tactical expert partner for both internal parties (employees and supervisors of faculties and support services) and external parties (police, fire brigade, representatives of the city of Delft, etc.) in the area of Safety and (Cyber-) Security. You share responsibility on an operational and tactical level for incident management of acute events. When needed, you provide support during an incident; on a tactical level you take part as needed in support of the crisis team of a faculty or service.

You have thorough knowledge of safety and security and demonstrable experience in dealing with emergency services, because of which you are able to operate as an expert partner. As a participant in various operational/tactical discussions of the TU Delft, you are capable of developing new initiatives in the area of IT, of persuading others of your viewpoint, and of supervising implementation.

You are also capable of offering and coordinating support for large events. From your role, you help formulate IH&TRM strategy and are able to supervise projects independently. This position offers you the opportunity to be innovative in security concepts, with a freedom not offered elsewhere. In a crisis and uncertain situations, you are able to drop everything and provide structured support wherever needed at any time of day or night.

You have stamina and the ability to see projects through. Thorough experience in a similarly broad position is essential. Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 jaar met uitzicht op verlenging.

The position is for 38 hours per week (1,0 FTE). The contract is for 1 year initially with prospect of extension based on good performance. The salary is dependent on knowledge, age, and experience, based on scale 10. The TU Delft offers a customisable compensation package, a discount for health insurance and sport memberships, and a monthly work costs contribution. University Corporate Office - Legal Services

The management of Legal Services contributes to the safeguarding of legal accountability of the TU Delft. An important task is delivering strategic advice and operational support in legal matters to the Executive Board, the faculties and the university services. Within Legal Services, the TU Delft has bundled five units which together provide broad support: Legal Affairs, Intellectual Property/Patents, Contract Management, Project Management, and Safety and Security Management.

The Department of Integrated Hazard & Threat Risk Management is responsible for managing, assessing, and guiding Safety, Safety, Security, Cybersecurity, Security Risk Management, Crisis Management and Continuity Planning. It brings the overall risks into perspective, takes preventive measures, and establishes rules and procedures in consultation with concerned parties, partners, and stakeholders. In addition, this department is responsible for the development and implementation of the IH&TRM policy in relation to organisational goals. In special cases, execution of the policy is also handled by this department. The Department of IH&TRM advises internal clients (including the Executive Board) and is responsible for the coordination of crisis management and conducting internal research.
