Organisation
The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology is a recently started, fast growing research hospital for children with cancer. In its mission statement our goal is reflected: increasing survival, with less short term and late effects. One of the important short term effects is a changed body composition, caused by changes in intake and/or by decreased activity. The new research line on nutrition, body composition and physical activity in children with cancer aims to develop interventions to improve the body composition and physical activity, and thereby quality of life, other toxicities and in the end survival. However, before these interventions can be developed, more basic research is needed.

Skills and education
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a PhD degree with a background in medicine or a biomedical related study. The post doc must be have good communication skills, be flexible and be a good teamplayer.
