Voor het departement EOR zijn wij per 1 september 2018 op zoek naar een Senior Docent Wiskunde en Statistiek. De taken van de gezochte docent bestaan uit:

• het geven van hoor- en werkcolleges van kwantitatieve cursussen in de onderwijsprogramma’s waar het departement EOR verantwoordelijk voor is, als ook het coördineren van deze cursussen,
• het begeleiden van bachelor- en mastertheses,
• het voortouw nemen bij het vernieuwen of aanpassen van onderwijsmateriaal,
• het bedenken en implementeren van innovaties,
• het bijdragen aan de volgende stappen in het digitalisatieproces van ons onderwijs.

Naast bovenstaande taken krijgt de kandidaat de gelegenheid tot het verrichten van onderzoek in 10-20% van de werktijd.

Wij zoeken een enthousiaste collega die:

• een PhD heeft afgerond in wiskunde, statistiek, econometrie, operationele research of een andere gerelateerde kwantitatieve richting,
• ruime ervaring heeft in het geven van onderwijs aan grote en kleine groepen,
• een excellente docent is (dit blijkt bijvoorbeeld uit hoge onderwijsevaluaties),
• een bekwame en inspirerende thesisbegeleider is,
• betrokken is (geweest) bij het opzetten van curricula van opleidingen en vakken (dit blijkt bijvoorbeeld uit bijdragen in het uitzetten van leerlijnen in onderwijsprogramma’s, betrokkenheid bij accreditaties en het invoeren van vernieuwingen in vakken),
• aantoonbare ervaring heeft met het ontwikkelen van onderwijsmateriaal (dit blijkt bijvoorbeeld uit (co)-auteurschap van onderwijsboeken of dictaten),
• als motiverend leider een onderwijsteam heeft aangestuurd,
• gewend is coördinerende taken uit te voeren,
• bekend is met innovaties in onderwijs,
• vertrouwd is met het gebruik van digitaal onderwijs (bijvoorbeeld educatieve films, blended learning).

Naast een aantrekkelijk pakket secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden (Tilburg University behoort tot de meest gewaardeerde werkgevers in de non-profit sector) en een attractieve, internationale werksfeer, bieden wij u een vast dienstverband. Het salaris is afhankelijk van opleiding en ervaring en bedraagt minimaal € 4.815 en maximaal € 5.861 bruto per maand (salarisschaal 13) bij een fulltime aanstelling, exclusief vakantiegeld (8%) en eindejaarsuitkering (8,3%). Deze functie valt onder het UFO profiel Docent 1 en op deze functie is de CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten van toepassing.
