Research in Electrical Engineering: ambition meets opportunity in EindhovenThe department has identified three focus areas ('
zwaartepunten') in research in Electrical Engineering:
- Signal Processing and Imaging
- Communication
- Cyber-Physical Systems
Our nine disciplinary-oriented capacity groups in the department participate in one or more of these focus areas.

Assistant Professor in 'Medium Voltage Power Electronics'Modeling, analysis and control of power grids, the behavior of which is dominated by the power electronics incorporated. The energy transition inevitably leads to these complicated grids, and modeling them is a root problem of most of the issues these grids face, ranging from component lifetime, supply-demand matching to operation stability, safety and long-term planning.
