You will be part of the Engineering lecturers team where you will be teaching our year 2 to year 4 students. You are comfortable with learning other subjects in aviation engineering and do not shy away from adding value to other courses or taking on activities outside of your comfort zone.

The basis of the Aviation Engineering & Technology track in the Aviation bachelor program focuses on providing students with a thorough understanding of aircraft structures & materials, maintenance, systems, and performance. The relation between design aspects and the creation of an effective maintenance strategy is also explored. Knowledge and experience in failure mechanisms, maintenance aspects, and structural repairs is a plus.

Research
In parallel, you will conduct applied research in ongoing projects and contribute to the formulation of new research proposals as part of the Aviation Engineering research team. You will strengthen the links between the research team, the educational program, and our extensive industry network. Our research focus is ensuring that the sector has all the knowledge and insight it needs to transition to, and develop, more efficient, automated, and environmentally friendly inspection and repair methodologies and practices. The applied research is conducted by undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and professionals from the participating industrial partners.

  • You will overall strengthen the links between education and research.

Your other perks

  • A gross monthly salary between € 4.427,- and € 6.667,- (Hay profile Lecturer/Researcher, scale 11 of the higher education collective labour agreement), with a full-time appointment and depends on education and experience.
