Job description

Are you interested in the relationship between brain development and language development? Come join the Department of Cognitive Neuropsychology at Tilburg University as a postdoctoral researcher. You will be part of the NWO-funded Vidi project “Tracking visual speech in the maturing brain”, in which we study how infants’ and children’s brains process speech in the noisy multimodal world (using both auditory and visual speech cues), while their brain is still rapidly developing. There is a specific focus on individual differences, assessing both neurotypical and autistic children.

Your position
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will study how neural tracking of (audiovisual) speech is related to developing electrophysiological signals in infants and children. You will be part of a team performing and analysing several experimental EEG studies. You will perform advanced data analysis, present your results at scientific conferences, and publish in international journals. You will actively contribute to Open Science and Team Science. Additionally, you will contribute to supervision (e.g. supervising master’s theses).
