We are looking for a skilled and motivated Postdoc who can help us develop and manufacture innovative drugs for clinical research. Within the research theme Academic Pharma, our department translates innovative therapeutic peptides, as well as fluorescent and radioisotope-labeled imaging agents from the lab towards use in clinical trials. The LUMC has an unique position within the academic hospital world with regard to the development of new treatment methods for various disorders. Does this peak your interest? We manufacture fluorescent labels and radioligands, coupled to synthetic peptides and/or antibodies according to ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’. We expect for you to help in the design and synthesis of these products. You will also help to maintain and improve our quality system.

· You are an enthusiastic colleague experienced in organic/medicinal chemistry with affinity for drug development and development of new methods
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a PhD in organic/medicinal chemistry or a similar field. You have a keen interest in, or experience with, separation- and analytical techniques, such as HPLC and/or mass spectrometry. Affinity and experience with peptide synthesis, GMP production or radiopharmaceuticals is a big plus. You are creative, professional and accurate and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Fixed-term contract: 1 year.
You will be employed on the basis of 32 - 36 hours per week. Appointment is for one year. Your salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of € 4,707 gross per month for a full time position (scale 10 in the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
