The position
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the smooth and successful implementation and monitoring progress of several externally funded projects and programs. Project managers are responsible for ensuring timely reporting on their scientific and financial progress as well as overseeing all financial, administrative, and contractual obligations. The will be one the projects managed in this position.
AIGHD is an interdisciplinary research institute with projects focused on global health and development. AIGHD implements research projects in a variety of topics, from biomedical laboratory research to social science to health economics and beyond. Each of these projects is overseen by a team that minimally consists of a scientific project leader and a project manager. They work closely together with scientific, financial, and other staff members to successfully implement and complete the project.
When starting at AIGHD, the project manager will acquire a portfolio of projects. The new project manager will join our project management team and collaborate with scientific staff in order to successfully support the projects. Additionally, the project manager will assist scientific project leaders in acquiring new projects.
AIGHD is fulfilling the role of Coordinator in the projects that will be managed by this project manager (the INDIGO project on Effective and Affordable Flu Vaccines for the World); this requires strong leadership, communication and coordination skills from the project management side.

Fixed-term contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension.
AIGHD offers a gross monthly salary between EUR 3.215 and EUR 4.418 (maximum) based on a fulltime contract, depending on your work experience and expertise.
