Two departments from Maastricht University, Department of Advanced Computing Sciences (DACS) and Brightlands Institute for Smart Society (BISS), are jointly looking for an Office Manager to support their teams on administrative & organizational issues. The office manager spends half of the time with the DACS team in Maastricht, and half with the BISS team in Heerlen. We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active, disciplined, organized and sociable person with an interest in data science and innovation.

DACS: The Department of Advanced Computing Sciences is Maastricht University’s largest and oldest department broadly covering the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, mathematics and robotics. It launched as the joint identity of two Maastricht University research groups: the Institute of Data Science (IDS) and the former Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering (DKE)
Over 100 researchers work and study in the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences, whose roots trace back to 1987. The department’s staff teaches approximately 800 bachelor’s and master’s students in 3 specialized study programmes in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. A new bachelor's programme in Computer Science will be added in 2023.
BISS – Brightlands Institute for Smart Society is an interfaculty institute at Maastricht University, built around a team of researchers from different disciplines, addressing business and societal challenges. BISS’ mission is to empower people and organizations through the socially responsible application of digital technologies. BISS is located in Heerlen at the Brightlands Smart Services Campus (BSSC).
