Head of Finance University College Roosevelt (Middelburg) (0.6-1.0 FTE)

You are part of the support staff of University College Roosevelt and you lead the Finance Office, which consists of a Controller and an Administrator. You contribute to the formulation of the institution's strategic and tactical financial and economic policies and to the shaping and oversight of structures necessary for effective planning and control of business processes. You are ultimately responsible for the Planning and Control cycle. You lead the employees of the Finance department and report to the board, in particular to the Managing Director.

• Solicited and unsolicited advice to the board on financial and economic issues;
• Realizing and improving the planning and control cycle of the organization;
• You are responsible for providing adequate management information and reports to management within the organization and monitoring the achievement of task and objectives;
• Give form and substance to the (financial) administrative organization of the institution;
• Ensure the preparation of the (consolidated) annual accounts and the related financial and non-financial reports;
• Ensure the establishment of budgets and forecasts and the resulting budgets;
• You ensure good and timely financial, project, personnel and salary administration;
• Coaching and guiding the employees within the team;
• Advising and financially substantiating investments and business cases.

• You have a connecting personality and are decisive and decisive.
• You have a HBO/WO diploma in financial/economic direction.
• You have experience as a manager of a financial department.
• You are a professional expert with broad knowledge of/experience with financial and business processes at a strategic level.
• You have several years of relevant work experience in the field of planning and control.
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good command of English.
• You have an affinity with digitization and automation of administrative processes.
• An advantage is work experience or affinity with working in an educational institution.
