Job description

Improving healthcare with innovative biosensors: Join our research team and embark on a PhD journey focused on advancing biosensing technology. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to contribute to the development of next-generation biosensors by engineering biological nanopores together with substrate binding proteins and integrate them onto microfluidic chips. This interdisciplinary project offers a unique opportunity to push the boundaries of bioanalytical instrumentation, enabling breakthroughs in healthcare and beyond.

We seek candidates to lead a project focused on developing biological nanopores as innovative biosensors and integrating them on microfluidic chips. The goal is to improve healthcare by enabling the precise measurement of biomarkers in tiny amounts of bodily fluids, as well as single cells. These biosensors will not only be highly sensitive and specific, but also capable of real-time and prolonged monitoring. As a doctoral candidate, you'll have access to ground breaking facilities and experts. Your contributions will help shape biosensors poised to make a meaningful impact on healthcare, ultimately improving patient lives and healthcare systems' efficiency.
