Furthermore, you will be:
  • Conducting your research within an active group at the department of Medical Informatics;
  • Disseminating your results at (inter)national conferences and publishing your work in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

We are searching for a motivated and enthusiastic PhD candidate who is passionate about improving care for neuromuscular disease patients and making a meaningful contribution to the field of medical informatics.

  • Strong analytical and programming skills;
  • Affinity and preferably experience with writing research papers;
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Dutch is an added advantage.

Not required, but helpful:
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, GDPR, GCP, and/or FAIR data principles.

Conditions of employment

  • Fully funded PhD position: we offer a contract for one year (12 months) with the intention to extend for another 36 months.
  • Salary scale OiO: € 2.901 - € 3.677 with a 36 hour week (depending on qualifications and experience).
  • Besides a good basic salary, you will also receive an 8.3% year-end bonus and 8% holiday allowance.
  • Free and unlimited access to our online learning environment GoodHabitz.
  • Pension accrual with BeFrank, a modern, understandable, and well-priced pension.
  • Excellent accessibility by public transport and reimbursement of a large part of your transport costs. We also have a good bicycle scheme if you cycle, and sufficient parking spaces in case you drive.
