3 PhD positions in Quantum Theoretical Chemistry

As a PhD student your primary task will be to develop yourself into an independent and productive researcher. You will start by learning the theory and software that we use in the group, after which you will modify and extend these to tackle the problems targeted in your project. Important is that you are able to communicate your results to the outside world, presenting them at conferences and in scientific papers. During the PhD you will attend summer and winter schools and also learn how to teach yourself by assisting in courses and in guiding bachelor and master students.

A challenging position in a hotspot for theoretical chemistry in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. The salary will be in accordance with university regulations for academic personnel and amounts €2,541 per month during the first year and increases to €3,247 per month during the fourth year, based on a full-time employment. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.

The appointment will initially be for 1 year. After a satisfactory evaluation of the initial appointment, the contract will be extended for a duration of 4 years.
