Job description

MESA+ NanoLab is seeking a support engineer with a chemical background. Your goal is to assist the team of the cleanroom and to support existing processes.

Essential Job Duties
  • Support the daily processing and activities in the cleanroom
  • Knowledge of chemicals and experience in chemical handling
  • Managing the safety rules and procedures; training on safety of (new) users in the cleanroom
  • Hand out chemicals on demand
  • Managing stock supply of chemicals and disposables.
  • Keeping up cleanroom environment
  • Maintaining basic wet processing and back end processes.

Requirements

  • MBO degree in chemistry.
  • Assisting, supporting skills
  • Supervising basic chemical processes and back-end processing
  • Experience with, or motivated to, work in a cleanroom environment
  • Technical skills; ability to indicate technical failure.
  • Preference for knowledge on chemical handling.
  • Accurate and pro-active attitude
  • High quality of service
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Strong, customer friendly and assured
  • Excellent team player
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English

Conditions of employment

  • MESA+ NanoLab offers a fulltime challenging position in an inspiring and international environment for initially one year. Before the end of the contract, you will be subject to a job performance evaluation. If positive and the circumstances of the organization remain the same, the contract may be converted into a permanent contract;
  • The terms of employment are in accordance with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Universities (CAO-NU);
  • Your salary, depending on your education and experience, will be a maximum of €3.636,- gross per month (in accordance with scale 7 of the CAO-NU). Further growth towards salary scale 8 may be possible in the future.
  • Excellent benefits including a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary, a year-end bonus of 8.3% and a solid pension scheme;
  • A minimum of 29 leave days in full-time employment based on a formal workweek of 38 hours. Full time employment in practice means 40 hours a week, therefore resulting in 96 extra leave hours on an annual basis;
