Network Coordinator for the Leiden Research Support Network

The Leiden Research Support Network is the network for research support professionals within Leiden University. At our university, research support professionals work in various departments. With high autonomy and at a high pace, they help researchers to meet deadlines related to all kinds of research management tasks. Within the network, there are currently six active communities, each of which has a community manager who facilitates the group and promotes knowledge exchange. The network is still growing and new communities are being formed. The communities are crucial in making the support effective and avoiding support professionals to re-invent the wheel. As network coordinator you will be working closely with the community managers, the communication advisor and network lead on the development of our network.

Time: 0,8 fte

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, plan and organize community events and meetings (live and online) for research support professionals and researchers, including the annual Leiden Research Support Conference;
• Initiate workshops and professional development training sessions for research support professionals;
• Manage the knowledge base of the network, relevant webpages, and the digital working environment;
• Supporting the six community managers of the network;
• Coordinate onboarding of new members of the network;
• Manage projects initiated by the Leiden Research Support Network.

• An appointment in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) for Dutch Universities, initially for a period of one year and with the possibility of extension. The salary range, depending on qualifications and experience, is from €3.226 to €5.090 gross per month, based on a full-time position (scale 10);

The LRS network team is housed in the Strategy and Academic Affairs (SAZ) department. The 45 employees of SAZ support the Executive Board and the faculties in the field of strategic development of the university in education, research, impact and valorisation, sustainability, internationalisation, subsidy advice and diversity & inclusivity.
