Job description
The aim of the Finance Manager is to oversee all financial operations whilst also improving business processes within the Finance Department in a manner which furthers the goals of the unit. This is done through the analysis and improvement of current processes, implementation of financial technological tools, and team leadership that supports the realisation of strategic and tactical goals of RSM BV. The Finance Manager works closely together with Business Controllers, Degree Programs, Executive Education, General Operations teams and other stakeholders within and outside RSM (students, auditors, EUR central, and companies). This person is the highest positioned Finance person in RSM B.V.

The Finance Manager reports to the Cluster Lead and Director General Operations, is responsible for the Financial operations, manages the Finance Team and advises Directors and Managers in RSM BV on financial and/or fiscal activities and implications.

Your daily activities and responsibilities include:

Managerial tasks

• Leading team meeting, supporting the team in the projects - invoicing, invoice format, back-up of the team (e.g. revenue reporting, etc)/questions of the team, business controlling support.
• Coordinating the work on process descriptions, process improvement, and process descriptions.
• Setting the strategy for the finance team and determine right action and priorities to achieve organisation goals.

Controlling tasks

• Controlling ICP reporting
• Controlling the BTW report
• Checking the bookings of Finance Officers
• Discussing the report of month-end-closing and making sure that monthly figures are correct and complete
• Checking and authorising payments
• Making the monthly excel from Exact and checking the bookings

Operational tasks

• P2P errors/P2P approval flows
• Making Income Tax report
• Reconciliation of salary administration with Exact: salaries journals/WKR/lecturers via salaries
• Processing recharge constructions within RSM and EUR/other BVs
• Creating Annual report of RSM BV, including excel files and data supporting the report
• Reports for RSM/Erasmus (for accreditations/other reports for Erasmus e.g. with year-end closing)

Other

• Finance questions from the business - about withdrawals, etc.
• Short Finance presentations to the business about results during organisation wide meetings
• getting information about budgets
