You will build and sustain your own research programme. In this role you will apply for external funding, supervise PhD candidates and postdocs, and organize relevant scientific meetings at the national and international level. You welcome opportunities for collaborations with members of the
Utrecht Geometry Centre and/or the University at large.
You will teach courses at a variety of levels, ranging from first-year Bachelor’s to advanced Master’s courses. This may also include service teaching. Master’s courses can be taught locally or as part of the national Master's programme, Mastermath. Teaching will account for 50% of your position, with a typical teaching load of approximately 120 contact hours per year. You will supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses as well as smaller-scale projects. We value and encourage innovation in teaching; the University provides funding to support promising ideas.
